klmontgomery: The nice thing about IWB ia that the lessons you can fin online import from one to the other. A SMART lesson can be imported into Promethian and vice versa.

You can add other colors, but those for are as easy to use as picking up off the tray. A finger can also be used to touch the board, acting like a cursor. For the Promethean board you can not use a finger to touch the board, instea you muct use one of the two provided pens. To change the color you have to use a menu on screen and then choose your color."

suzysouth: I liked the ease of operating the smartboard, but we had to build our own lessons, find online resources, etc. it took a LOT of time

twilliamson15: @suzysouth one of my main goals for next year is to have students create interactive Notebook files for topics we're covering in class

zoe: The new smartboard updates have lots of lessons that are available at no charge. and the templates in smartboard are easy to use and put in the information that is relevant to your classroom lessons.

Jennifer M.: that is so true @klmontgomery - I know a lot of wikis are still blocked in school, but this would be a great way to show how wikis can be used in classrooms

klmontgomery: Flickr Group http://www.flickr.com/groups/voicethreadphotos/ has 800 photos all creative common licensed for teachers and students. Set up for use with VoiceThread, but can be used for anything by educators.
